Our commitment

A diverse and inclusive legal profession serves the public better. We aim to treat everyone with respect, dignity and equity, as clients, colleagues and members of the community.

In practice

  • Equity: supporting people from historically underrepresented backgrounds.
  • Accessible services: a virtual-first model, so distance, mobility and transport are less of a barrier.
  • Cultural competence: recognizing the barriers different communities face in the justice system, and communicating in a way that works for each client.
  • Accessibility: meeting our obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

Human rights

The Ontario Human Rights Code protects people from discrimination in services, housing and employment. We also help people who have experienced discrimination bring applications to the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
