When you hire us for a service we quote at a fixed fee, the fee is reduced by 20% for as long as your membership is active. It applies to our fee, not to court filing fees, process-server charges or other disbursements, or to HST. See the Membership Terms for the detail.
Monthly plans run for at least 3 months (3 monthly payments). After that you can cancel at any time. Yearly plans are paid for twelve months and can be cancelled at any time; the membership then ends when the year you have paid for does.
Sign in, open Membership in your dashboard, and choose Cancel membership. It ends on the date shown there, no further payments are taken, and until then you keep everything. Changed your mind? You can take the cancellation back before that date.
No. A membership gives you consultations and a discount; it does not make us your paralegals on a particular matter. That only happens when you and we sign a written retainer for it.
Paralegals licensed by the Law Society of Ontario can represent people in Small Claims Court, in Provincial Offences Court (such as traffic tickets), and before many tribunals, such as the Landlord and Tenant Board. If your matter falls outside what a paralegal may do, we will tell you plainly and suggest a lawyer.
