NEO Legal Services Professional Corporation is led by Mo. Farooqui, a paralegal licensed by the Law Society of Ontario (licence P21785). Here is the training behind that licence, and the study that continues today.

Paralegal diploma with Honours

Mo. completed the 52-week Paralegal diploma program at triOS College (Toronto campus) between February 2024 and March 2025, graduating with Honours. The program is the accredited paralegal education the Law Society requires before a person may write the paralegal licensing examination.

The courses covered the work NEO does every day, including:

  • Small Claims Court procedure and Residential Landlord and Tenant Law
  • Provincial Offences and Motor Vehicle Offences (traffic tickets)
  • Tribunal Practice and Procedure, Administrative Law and Employment Law
  • Advocacy, Evidence and the Litigation Process, and Alternative Dispute Resolution
  • Ethics and Professional Responsibility, Legal Research and Writing, and Legal Accounting
  • a supervised paralegal field placement

Now studying for an LLB

Mo. is studying for a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with the University of London, and expects to finish in about three years. The degree deepens the legal training behind NEO's work.

An LLB on its own does not license anyone to practise as a lawyer in Ontario. NEO is a paralegal practice, and it works within the areas the Law Society allows licensed paralegals to practise in. If your matter needs a lawyer, we will tell you at the start.

Check a licence yourself

Anyone can confirm a paralegal's licence in the Law Society of Ontario's public directory: search for "Farooqui".
