Version 2026-10. These terms apply to every NEO Legal Services membership plan.
NEO Legal Services Professional Corporation (“we”, “us”) is a licensed paralegal professional corporation in Pickering, Ontario. A membership is a monthly or yearly plan that gives you the following for as long as it is active and paid:
A membership is not a retainer and does not make us your paralegals on any particular matter. We act for you on a matter only when you and we have signed a written retainer for it. We do not guarantee any outcome. Paralegals licensed in Ontario may act only within the scope of their licence (for example in Small Claims Court, Provincial Offences Court and before many tribunals). If your matter falls outside it, we will tell you and suggest you speak to a lawyer. What you tell us is kept confidential as the rules for licensed paralegals require, and we may decline to act on a matter where we have a conflict of interest.
While your membership is active and your payments are up to date, our fee for a service that we quote at a fixed fee is reduced by 20%. The discount applies to our fee only. It does not apply to disbursements (such as court filing fees, process-server and search charges), to HST, to hourly work, retainer deposits or contingency fees, and it cannot be combined with another discount unless we agree. The discount applies to a service you retain us for while you are a member, as set out in that service’s written retainer.
Prices are in Canadian dollars and are before HST (13%), which is added at checkout.
You pay by card through Stripe. We never see or store your card number. The first payment is taken when you join, and the same amount is then taken automatically every month or every year (on the same day) until your membership ends. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice of any change in price, and the new price applies from the first payment after that notice. If you do not accept it, you may cancel before it takes effect.
We may end a membership if a payment cannot be taken, if the membership is misused, or if we can no longer provide it. If we end it for any reason other than non-payment or misuse, we will refund the part of what you paid that covers the time you no longer have.
If a payment is declined, we will tell you and Stripe will try the card again over the next few days. Your benefits continue while it does. Update your card from your membership page at any time. If the payment cannot be taken, the membership ends.
We use your details to run your membership, to send you receipts and notices about it, and to answer you. See our Privacy Policy and Anti-Spam Policy. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., under its own privacy policy. Creating a membership creates a free client account for you, which is limited to one account per email address and per phone number.
We may update these terms. If a change affects what you get or what you pay, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to you. The version you agreed to when you joined is recorded with your membership. Our general Terms of Service also apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Questions about your membership: call 888-519-2435 or email info@neolegalservices.com. HST registration # 73954 1035 RT 0001.
