No legal advice

The guides and pages on our website are general information. They can't take your particular facts into account, so they aren't legal advice.

No client relationship until a retainer is signed

Signing a contract with a pen

Using the website, or contacting us through an intake form, email or chat, doesn't make you our client. That relationship starts when both sides sign a retainer agreement.

Confidentiality online

Information sent over the internet is never completely secure. We take precautions, and once you are a client we use the secure client portal for sensitive documents.

Why this matters

Deadlines and rules change, and small facts can change the answer. If you have a legal problem, speak to a licensed legal professional about your situation.

This article is general information for people in Ontario, not legal advice. Rules, forms and deadlines change, and every situation is different. Check the current rule or speak to a licensed legal professional before you act.

Not sure where you stand? A licensed paralegal can look at your documents and tell you your options.
