Using NEO's Legal Fee Calculator

Our free Fee Calculator lets you estimate the cost of a legal matter before you contact us.

How it works

  1. Choose the practice area, such as Small Claims, the Landlord and Tenant Board, or traffic and provincial offences.
  2. Choose the service, such as drafting a claim, a settlement conference, a trial or a motion.
  3. See the fee for that service, with HST shown separately.

What the estimate includes

  • Our fee for the service.
  • A note of the HST.
  • Disbursements, such as court and tribunal filing fees, are separate and can be estimated too.

The calculator gives an estimate. Your actual fee is confirmed in writing in your retainer, after a free consultation, once we understand your matter. Some matters listed may need a lawyer rather than a paralegal; we will tell you if so.

This article is general information for people in Ontario, not legal advice. Rules, forms and deadlines change, and every situation is different. Check the current rule or speak to a licensed legal professional before you act.

Not sure where you stand? A licensed paralegal can look at your documents and tell you your options.
