"Financing available" shows the services whose invoice may be paid over time once the work is done (subject to the provider's approval); it is never offered at booking. - Checkout on a service page books that service and an intake call: nothing is charged on the website. The client saves a card with Stripe, which is only charged for an invoice for work already done, as the retainer agreement sets out. Fees paid before the work is done are held in the firm's trust account. - Each lawyer service also has a page, at https://neolegalservices.com/services/lawyer-referral/, with the typical lawyer's fee and a "Request a referral" form. ## Lawyer referrals and lawyer fees - https://neolegalservices.com/services/lawyer-referral Some matters must be handled by a lawyer, for example wills and estates, real estate, divorce, corporate matters, most criminal matters, Superior Court claims and most personal injury lawsuits. The firm refers the client to an Ontario lawyer at no cost to the client; the client pays only the lawyer's own fee. The page shows typical Ontario lawyer fee ranges (HST extra), and the lawyer quotes the actual fee. Referrals follow the Law Society of Ontario's referral fee rules. ## Fees and paying an invoice - What a fixed fee includes and the ways to pay: https://neolegalservices.com/pricing (what is added to a fixed fee, such as HST, disbursements and court or tribunal filing fees; retainers held in trust; instalment plans written into the retainer; memberships) - Pay an invoice online: https://neolegalservices.com/pay (card, Apple Pay or Google Pay; HST is calculated, and the invoice and receipt are emailed) - Paying over time: https://neolegalservices.com/financing (for invoices for work already done, individuals in Canada may be able to apply at checkout with a third-party provider; the provider decides who is approved and on what terms, and the firm is not a lender) - Membership plans: https://neolegalservices.com/subscriptions ## For lawyers - Overview: https://neolegalservices.com/for-lawyers - Apply to receive client referrals from the firm (no fee to apply, no obligation either way): https://neolegalservices.com/for-lawyers/apply - Referral fees under the Law Society of Ontario's rules, with a calculator: https://neolegalservices.com/for-lawyers/referral-fees - Agency work: https://neolegalservices.com/for-lawyers/agency-work (a lawyer instructs the firm as agent on a defined task a licensed paralegal is permitted to do, such as an attendance, a filing or serving documents, and keeps the file) ## For paralegals - Overview: https://neolegalservices.com/for-paralegals (Ontario licensed paralegals (P1) can apply to provide legal services on NEO matters as self-employed independent contractors, on a share of the fees collected, with a monthly desk fee) - The fee share terms, with a calculator: https://neolegalservices.com/for-paralegals/fee-share - How it works: https://neolegalservices.com/for-paralegals/how-it-works - What the firm provides: https://neolegalservices.com/for-paralegals/tools - The rules behind the fee share: https://neolegalservices.com/for-paralegals/rules - Apply: https://neolegalservices.com/for-paralegals/apply ## For students and schools - Overview: https://neolegalservices.com/for-students (supervised field and co-op placements for credit, for students whose college, university, private career college or school board program approves the placement; a licensed paralegal supervises) - How a placement works: https://neolegalservices.com/for-students/how-placements-work - For placement coordinators and co-op teachers: https://neolegalservices.com/for-students/for-schools - The rules behind placements: https://neolegalservices.com/for-students/rules - Ask about a placement: https://neolegalservices.com/for-students/apply ## Client portal - Sign in: https://neolegalservices.com/login - Create an account: https://neolegalservices.com/register - Pay an invoice: https://neolegalservices.com/pay - Upload documents: https://neolegalservices.com/upload-documents (opens the Documents tab on the home page) - Track your case: https://neolegalservices.com/track-case (opens "Track Your Submission" on the home page) ## Policies - All policies: https://neolegalservices.com/policies (privacy, terms, cookies, accessibility, anti-spam, workplace safety and more) ## Media kit - https://neolegalservices.com/media-kit (a company fact sheet, the firm's logos and logo variations to download, and a press enquiry form) ## Contact - Telephone: 1-888-519-2435 (toll free) - Web form: https://neolegalservices.com/contact ## Use of this information The guides are general information for people in Ontario and are not legal advice.
